Using your e-cigarette safely and waiver

Using your e-cigarette and e-liquids safely

  • The liquid in your e-cigarette contains nicotine which is a highly toxic and addictive poison.
  • The e-cigarette is for your use only and must not be used by children (under 18 years) or non-smokers.
  • E-liquids may be lethal if swallowed, especially for children. You must lock away your e-liquids and e-cigarette when not in use, in a child-proof cabinet or other secure area and keep out of reach of children, and animals at all times.
  • If you accidently swallow some e-liquid get medical advice straight away and show the doctor the bottle where the liquid came from.
  • Avoid getting the e-liquid on your skin but if this does happen wash the area straight away with lots of running water. If the liquid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them straight away with lots of running water and get medical advice.
  • Please also read the information included with the Skope S starter pack on how to use your e-cigarette

Yorkshire Smokefree Calderdale E-cigarette waiver

Yorkshire Smokefree Calderdale is happy to be able to offer e-cigarettes and vaping products in the knowledge that, whilst they are not risk free, vaping is far less harmful than smoking tobacco. There is not enough evidence to know whether there are long-term harms from e‑cigarette use, but we know that any smoking is harmful, so people using e-cigarettes should stop smoking tobacco completely. If you have a medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, emphysema, or asthma (or other  medical condition), you may wish to seek medical advice before you start using the e-cigarette.

E-cigarettes and vaping products are regulated by the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations (2016)  but are not licensed as medicines. Yorkshire Smokefree Calderdale does not take responsibility for any adverse effects or product liability issues in the unlikely event that anything should occur.

If you believe you have had an adverse reaction to vaping, you can report this to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency via their Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk. Totally Wicked takes full responsibility for all its products. Contact them through their website, www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk, by phone on 01254 692244, or by email at info@totallywicked.co.uk.
