What you can expect from us:

  • Choose how we support you to quit – In person/telephone support/group sessions.
  • Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy product (NRT) such as patch, gum, lozenge etc. for up to 12 weeks on agreement of setting a quit date to be smokefree.
  • Zyban oral medication (if eligible* 8/9-week programme) NB you will require a blood pressure check by your pharmacist, and it is their decision to supply.
  • Free pilot scheme programme to use an E Cigarette to quit smoking.
  • Advice on how to use your stop smoking medication
  • A programme of professional NHS help and support tailored to your individual needs
  • Tips on how to deal with cravings and helpful information leaflets/links to see how much progress you’re making
  • Help to keep you motivated and information about the positive benefits of quitting
  • Daily motivational text messages (optional)
  • Additional support online and through social media
  • The opportunity to promote the service through our website and social media

What we expect from you:

  • Having had the “not one puff “rule/abrupt quit explained, I aim not to smoke at all after my quit date.
  • To agree to attend clinic appts telephone/group/ in person – these will be booked at a time to suit you – please note this is an NHS appointment and it is important if you cannot attend to call or text the service to cancel or rearrange
  • Use stop smoking medications/products as directed by an advisor.This will give you a better chance of becoming smokefree.
  • Agree to have a carbon monoxide test as a part of your stop smoking journey (where available)
  • Agree to be contacted if you do not attend the service
  • Agree to a 12 week/26 week*/36 week*/52 week contact from the service for an update on your smoking status * where eligible.
