Yorkshire Smokefree will help any smoker that lives in Barnsley, Calderdale, Doncaster, Sheffield or Wakefield to stop smoking tobacco. We provide advice, motivational and behavioural support, as well as information about and access to licensed stop smoking medications such as nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, varenicline (Champix).
Licenced nicotine replacement therapies and Champix are tried and tested stop smoking aids that we always offer first and foremost as a method of managing nicotine withdrawal symptoms. They have been proven to be effective and have a very good safety profile as they are licensed medications.
We know however that some people might want to use an e-cigarette to help them stop smoking. Whilst we are unable to make recommendations about which e-cigarette is suitable and we can’t supply e-cigarettes because they aren’t licensed medications, we are happy to provide the same FREE motivational and behavioural support should you wish to purchase your own e-cigarette to use a stop smoking aid.
There is increasing evidence that e-cigarettes are effective in helping smokers stop smoking tobacco, and that getting support from a stop smoking service increases the liklihood that you will quit smoking using an e-cigarette.
So if you would like help to stop smoking tobacco, and you want to use an e-cigarette, please call 0800 612 0011 (free from landlines) or 0330 660 1166
